Overview of the Form

This Form allows the user to tag certain lines in Div Worksheet pages and allows the user to edit them in real time without being on the same page

Bid Recap Automation Feature

The Bid Recap Automation feature is a powerful tool designed to streamline the process of creating and managing bid recaps in Excel. This feature creates and updates a set of Excel workbooks (referred to as "slave books") based on a main Excel workbook (the "master book"). The feature includes bid recap tiles and data updates in real-time across the network.

Feature Overview

Master Book: This is the main Excel workbook that controls all the slave books. Changes made in this workbook are reflected in the slave books. Slave Books: These are the Excel workbooks generated from the master book. They are automatically updated when changes are made in the master book. Bid Recap Tiles: These tiles display key information about each bid. Clicking on a tile updates the details pane with more specific information about the selected bid. Real-time Updates: The bid recap data is updated in real-time across the network, ensuring all users have the most current and accurate information.

How It Works

Generating Slave Books

The process begins by generating an MD5 hash based on the book name, date, and user. If the "BidRecapBookKey" does not exist in the active workbook's custom properties, a new one is created. The hash, together with the book key, is used to uniquely identify each slave book. The slavebook will only be generated for the lines selected for Bid Close.

The Comments under the selected bid close line will also be exported to the bid close sheet.
