The timecard is a useful way for employees to track their hours. This provides useful insight into where time is spent and how efficiency could be increased.

After requesting a timecard or at 3pm, a robot named "Power Automate" or "Workflows" will send you a timecard via teams. To view the timecard, navigate to the chat tab on the left side of the MS Teams window and press "Power Automate" or "Workflows".

The timecard will look like this:

You must select the date and enter the estimate number and cost plan number. The estimate number and cost plan number must match EXACTLY what was entered into the estimate book tender evaluation. If the cost plan number in the estimate book tender evaluation is left blank, the cost plan number in the timecard can be left blank.

You may then fill in the number of hours for each activity and press submit. If you plan to submit another timesheet, that option may also be selected.

Important Notes

  • The estimate number must be in the exact format "20## - ###" with the space before and after the dash. Else there will be an error. This number must match the tender evaluation exactly.
  • The cost plan number must be in the exact format "#" with no letters or words. Else there will be an error. This number must match the tender evaluation exactly.
  • If an error occurs when submitting a timecard, it is most likely due to the estimate number or cost plan number entered in the timecard not matching the tender evaluation from the estimate book. Go to the estimate book and double check the number and formatting to ensure the data entered into the timecard matches exactly.
  • There must be an estimate book created for the project of the timesheet before the timesheet is submitted.
  • Only one timesheet may be submitted per project per day. If you submit a second one, it will overwrite the first. Each day, submit one timesheet per project.
  • If filling out the timesheet at 3pm, estimate the remaining hours of the day.
